BHP, Rio Tinto and Caterpillar have launched a trial of two Cat® 793 XE Early Learner battery-electric haul trucks at a mine-site demonstration in Western Australia's Pilbara as part of an industry-first collaboration.

The trial is generating critical data to assess technical readiness, infrastructure requirements and commercial feasibility, including trialing high-powered static and dynamic charging solutions.

We’re excited to further explore the potential of battery-electric solutions for our industry.

And that’s a wrap on the Doosan.

This one had quite the birthday treatment, with a range of repairs carried out to help keep it reliable and working where it’s needed most.

With Doosan construction equipment now operating under the DEVELON name, sourcing parts can take a little more chasing — especially when the machine is a vital part of day-to-day farm operations and downtime is not ideal.

From electrical faults and camera issues, through to replacing the auto grease tank, door handles and more, this job had a bit of everything.

We’re pleased to report she’s back in full service and ready to keep earning her keep on the farm.

🔍 Guess the fault…

A warning light on the dash led us to this little relay.

From the outside, it looked like a simple electrical fault — but once it was opened up, the story got a whole lot more interesting.

Any guesses what happened here? 👀

✨ Rural women paving the way ✨

CJ Tech Services was proud to have Fuzzy recently graduate from the Victorian Rural Women’s Network Leadership and Mentoring Program, alongside 11 other incredible women from across regional Victoria — with five of us proudly representing South West Victoria.

For women working in industries that have traditionally been seen as “men’s sectors,” opportunities like this are so important.

They help build confidence, leadership skills, strong networks and the ability to drive change — not just within our own businesses, but within our families, industries and communities. When rural women are supported to grow, the ripple effect is powerful.

For CJ Tech Services, this program has been a chance to step back, reflect and continue building the skills needed to grow a strong family business that supports local industries.

Behind opportunities like this are also the people who make family businesses possible — our family, our team and our clients who continue to support us. We even had a few tiny apprentices out on jobs while Fuzzy completed the program, which is a pretty real reminder that small business and family life often go hand in hand.
