This week's workshop job was Boyd's R33 Skyline.

The car came to us after having a MAXXECU, injectors and fuel pump fitted and tuned elsewhere, but it was pretty much undriveable. The rear of the car was covered in soot and the AFRs were miles off. Looking through the ECU tables felt like staring at a game of Tetris. To make matters worse, the boost control wasn't working and it was only making 8psi. It would also stall every time you pulled up at the lights.

We strapped it onto the dyno, fitted our PLEX V3 knock box and started working through the issues properly. Fuel, ignition, acceleration enrichment, idle air control and after-start fueling tables were all corrected and dialled in. We then fitted a new MAC valve and turned it up — with NO knock.

The difference is wild. Boyd now has a completely different car and it finally drives the way it should.

Leigh’s VL came in for the full treatment — and we definitely didn’t hold back 🔥

We built a tough 403ci LS topped with a Harrop 2300 supercharger, backed by a T400 and 9-inch diff combo ready to handle anything thrown at it. Packed with all the fruit, this setup lays down a safe and healthy 700hp at the wheels on E85 💪

With the braking package now upgraded to match the horsepower, Leigh can finally use every bit of it with confidence on the street and at the track.

A real deal survivor right here — Graham’s genuine GTS in beautifully original condition.

Factory 5L paired with the T400, plus factory A/C and power steering makes this one a seriously rare combo. Hard to find them untouched and still wearing all the right gear like this.

We had the pleasure of going over the car to make sure everything was in tip top shape, along with giving the factory air conditioning system a service so it’s cruising as good as it looks.

These are the kinds of cars that tell a story every time you look at them. Absolute credit to Graham for preserving such an honest example. 🔥👌

Over the last few weeks we have cleaned up this VL for a long term customer and great friend. We freshened up all the fluids, a carby rebuild, paint correction performed and a quick tune on the dyno with some tweaking by Dan (fastlane). We are racing it at Warwick this weekend for the customer to make sure we have everything ironed out so he can collect soon and enjoy.
