We have been working through a list of orders recently, stopping us from adding anything new to our range of cutting decks.
So we thought we mite go way back to some very early projects of interest.
These are from the late 90’s. Photos of prints, so a bit fuzzy.
Here are some custom stainless pipes, ready to be dressed, for a father/son project. A ‘T’ bucket rod with a 350 chev in it,,, yes i know,,,
These were for show not go, hence not tuned length’s.
They merge into a 150mm stainless straight pipe that ran under the running boards and dumped in front of the rear wheels.
Sorry i dont have a pic of them fitted. We didnt walk around with phone cameras in our pockets in those days.
The day we fired that thing up in the workshop was the day i got Tinnitus,,,

The new JD Z455 48” cutting deck is finished.
These are now available for order.
All orders from this point will be about mid to late January delivery.

The JD X300 42” cutting deck is now part of our range of fabricated decks.
The JD Z445 48” deck should be finished next week. Keep an eye out for that one to be posted.
That will likely be our last new model deck till January. We will concentrate on catching up with current orders for a few weeks.

We have started another new cutting deck model, the JD Z445 48”.
This has a similar heavy duty cutting deck skin to the JD X748.
We will take some design elements from these decks and make upgrades to the JD Z335E 48” deck we already build.
Making it a more sturdy skin.

We have also finished test running the JD X300 42” cutting deck. Its now getting galvanised. We should have some pic’s of that soon. And it will be added to the range shortly.

Here is our newest cutting deck model. The Toro 1642Z 42” skin.
An older model Toro than our last one, but still going. (the owner will be fitting a deck deflector shield to this deck)
And good news if you have a 1438Z, this deck fits straight onto your 38” model. All you need is a pair of 42” blades, then swap out your 38” OEM deck parts straight onto the 42” skin. Everything fits.

Just completed our first Toro TimeCutter deck.
The SS4216 42” deck.
And we are nearly ready to test the almost identical deck that will fit the TimeCutter 1642Z.

So our current range now sits at-

JD ‘L, LA and D’ series, and compatible, 42” cutting decks.
JD Z225, and compatible 42”
JD Z235 and compatible 42”
JD Z355E and compatible 48”
JD X748 and compatible 48”
Rover I-547/42 and compatible 42”
Victa ZTX and compatible 46”
And now the Toro SS4216 and compatible 42” cutting decks.

A size comparison of our next project, the X748 against our last project the Z355E.
The Z355E is not a small zero turn mower.
But it is dwarfed by the X748.
It is one hefty ride on, so it will be a challenge to create a new ‘Brute’ of a deck for this machine.

Bigger machines beggining to roll in now.

This one made its way from north Brisbane to be fitted up with a new deck.

Now to pull it down and draw it up..
