Streamlined production. An all-in-one ERP. Clean design and easy to use. Our software team were stoked to see the reaction to Flynt at AMW last week and had lots of requests for demos.

Flynt ERP is designed by manufacturers, for manufacturers, giving teams the tools they need to streamline operations and focus on what matters most.

We're on the ground at SIMTOS 2026 in Seoul this week, one of the world's great manufacturing technology shows — and it's given us a moment to reflect on what Australian manufacturing actually represents.

There's a tendency to underestimate what gets made here. Australia doesn't have the scale of Germany or South Korea, but what our manufacturers consistently demonstrate is ingenuity — the ability to solve complex, specific problems with limited resources and turn those solutions into products that can compete anywhere in the world.

That matters more right now than it has in a long time. The current global climate — shifting trade relationships, supply chain fragility, renewed focus on sovereign capability — is forcing a real conversation about where things are made and why it matters. Manufacturing isn't just an economic input. It's infrastructure. It's the thing that makes a country genuinely resilient when the world gets complicated.

Australian manufacturing employs around 900,000 people and contributes roughly $150 billion to the economy each year. Behind those numbers are businesses that have spent decades developing deep technical expertise, often without much fanfare.

Sorensen Engineering is one of them. Everything we build — from precision components to the tools and software that help manufacturers work smarter — comes from that same tradition of solving real problems properly.

Being at a show like SIMTOS, surrounded by the best in the world, reinforces why that work is worth doing.

In 2025, we had the privilege of partnering with our customers on some incredible projects, delivering advanced manufacturing solutions while also advancing our own in‑house innovations, including our Tiger Jaws work holding systems and Dropbear MTB hardware.

As we step into 2026, we’re scaling our advanced manufacturing platforms and accelerating our Industry 5.0 projects. These upgrades will further strengthen our efficiency, quality, and performance across every project we deliver.

This year is all about dependable production, smarter workflows, and engineering solutions that help our customers build better, and faster.

Here’s to an exceptional 2026.
