This Northcote open-plan kitchen brings together three Concept window and door systems from our AluRES Residential and AluCOMM Commercial ranges, each selected to complement the way the space is used.

The AluCOMM Titan Apartment Door creates a generous opening between the kitchen and outdoor area, with large panel sizes maximising natural light and creating a seamless connection between the two spaces.

Floor-to-ceiling glazing from the AluCOMM 10044 Centre Glazed System has also been used across the kitchen, bringing in natural light and uninterrupted views, complemented by double glazing for added performance.

Lastly, the AluRES Apollo Awning Window provides an additional source of natural airflow, allowing the space to be ventilated without needing to open doors.

Together, the three systems bring natural light, connection and quality into the heart of the home, combining commercial-grade performance and durability with a clean and cohesive appearance.

In celebration of our Tasmanian fabricators Cityline Windows and Doors winning the Residential project over $80,000 in the TAS AGWA Tasmanian Design Awards, We are sharing there project that won this same catagory back in 2024, The Cloud. 

Extensive floor-to-ceiling commercial windows from our AluCOMM range feature throughout this home, placing a strong emphasis on selecting energy-efficient systems, considering that up to 40% of a home’s energy can be lost or gained through windows and doors.

It was therefore essential to minimise heat transfer to help maintain an optimal internal temperature and reduce energy costs associated with heating and cooling.

The home’s remote and exposed location was one of the defining, and most challenging, aspects of the project, with no protection from the elements. The use of our high-performing commercial windows and doors from the AluCOMM range provided the durability and performance required to withstand and thrive in these conditions for years to come.
