December we made the decision as a family to take the leap — turn our hustle into our bread and butter.
After 14 years of commitment, lifelong friendships and a lot of hard work.
I resigned from my role.
It shocked a lot of people! even myself.
I walked away from what was once my dream job.
Over the years I built a solid team of foremen.
A crew where nothing was impossible delivering projects under budget and on time.
As the climate got tougher and timeframes got tighter, we still got it done.
We worked through the wettest winters and some of the hardest rock.
A phone that never stopped ringing.
4:00am starts, trucks on hold, cancelled concrete pours.
Watching the weather app like a full time job.
Late nights, early mornings I lived and breathed it.
I learned more than I could ever put into words, and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity.
But I wouldn’t change a thing.
Now we’re building something of our own.
A family run business.
An opportunity for my kids.
A stronger bond with my partner.
Showing our kids that life is built on hard work, sacrifice and determination.
This is just the beginning of a long journey and I wouldn’t want to share it with anybody else.🫶
