If you ever wondered how properly loaded isolators compare to generic "waffle pad", wonder no more. Two different A/C units but one on Sylomer and the other on waffle pad - so not a direct comparison, the compressors have different characteristics, but it's clear to see that the waffle pad is effectively doing nothing and the Sylomer from Getzner is very effective.

Environmental nightmare that can be stopped easily. These bits of rubber known as "waffle pad" are simply useless. So for the 99% of cases where a bit of vibration in the wall or slab just doesn't matter - hard bolt the unit and leave the rubber out. There must be tens of millions of these out there doing absolutely nothing - it's just pure mindless habit. If you actually want to isolat the unit vibration from the structure, a properly loaded isolator is the way, like these marvelloious AMC/Sylomer ones, or just sylomer made into a mount as a one off.

Another simple meeting room with videoconferencing turned from echoey and hard to comprehend speech, to quiet and comfortable and easy to hear. It doesn't take a lot to hit all of the required benchmarks, if you know what you are doing. Needless to say, no thin stuff, not too much absorption and diffusion where flutters remain.
