Meet Akila, Harbr’s CTO and miracle worker.
Back in March we’d planned a day of marina walks to better understand our customers, our customer’s customers and the physical infrastructure.
Pedestals, pro-fenders, berths, pylons etc.
As a boat owner I’m familiar with these aspects of marina life but wanted to share it with my business partner to make sure we’re on this journey together and importantly, building something truly valuable for our users.
Enter Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
To Akila’s credit, as we pulled in to RQYS there was no mention of sideways rain, 50 knot winds or thunder. He simply got out of the car, walked down the gangway and immediately started quizzing me about pedestals - all the while concerned boat owners around us were tying extra lines, packing away sails and preparing for 24 hours of mayhem.
