Earlier this week Craig Honeyman and Simone from Salvador spent time on the floor with timber processors, seeing Salvador docking lines in production.

It was a valuable opportunity for Salvador to see its equipment at work in Australian operations firsthand and to connect with processors interested in docking saws.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us in. Simone is now in New Zealand visiting processors there with Simon.

We are proud to share the installation of a new Salvador SuperPush 250 optimising crosscut saw at Tenon Clearwood in New Zealand.

As one of New Zealand’s largest producers of defect-free, appearance grade radiata pine products, Tenon depends on accuracy and recovery from every piece of timber. The SuperPush 250 delivers clean, square, precision cuts and is built to keep pace with the demands of a high-performing operation.

Our Technical Engineer Scott has been on site leading the installation. Later this month, Simone, Salvador’s product specialist from Italy, will visit the site to work alongside Tenon’s operators and help them get the most from their new saw.

This Sarmax Cheyenne SP2-600 with Huron head pairs a steel brush and a Tynex brush to bring out the natural grain, then the Huron head adds a bandsawn texture across the surface. It turns standard dressed boards up to 600 mm wide into premium textured product for cladding, panelling and feature applications.

We then finish at LIGNA in Hannover, 10 to 14 May 2027, the world's leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing.

Installation is underway this week at Subiaco Restoration in Western Australia.

Since 1981, Subiaco has built its reputation on restoration joinery and intricate architectural mouldings, work where every profile has to be matched precisely. This project gives the team a complete moulding and tooling system designed to make that precision repeatable.

Our moulder technician Keiji is on site commissioning a ProConnect moulder, together with a Joutech return conveyor that delivers each board back to the operator at the infeed. In the tool room, a profile grinder and ProConnect measuring stand are now in place, so every tool is ground, measured and stored against its profile before it reaches the moulder

Short lengths don't have to mean lost value. What happens to them next is what separates a good yield from an excellent one.

This glulam line creates a high-value product made largely from material that would otherwise be worth far less.

The timber enters as full lengths and runs through the moulder. From there it is docked, with every defect cut out of the board. The clean short sections that remain are finger jointed back into continuous lengths. The jointed material then passes through the sander, glue is applied between the laminations, and the assembly goes into the press, ready to be finished as a post or a beam.
