Firstly, this has been such an amazing project to take on. Thank you Gabby for trusting me to help bring your vision for the Focus to life 🤝

Gabby reached out mid last year wanting to finish off the final touches on her widebody Focus, wheels and fitment were the main areas. From our first consultation, I advised a few key body modifications that needed to happen first: cutting the rear quarters and thinning out the front fenders to make the fitment work properly.

Once that was complete, we set the brief and budget: Chrome. Aggressive. Without breaking the bank.

Gabby gave me a budget and handed the reins over. From there, I went to work, working with my local sources to piece everything together.

I grabbed wheels, tyres, spacers, rear camber arms and lug nuts all for the price of a brand new set of VSKFs.

Yes you read that right, fully chromed 3pc wheels by RSR Works, brand new tyres, arms and spacers for less than 326Power Yabakings.

Gab left the car with me while I handled sourcing and install. Front fenders shaved to allow it to air out lip-to-fender, rear camber dialled in for a super tight tuck. There are still a few small finishing touches to come, but the transformation has been amazing and Gab’s reaction made it even better.

It has always been my goal to take on a project like this where I'm in charge of choosing, gathering and installing the parts with a clients vision in mind. This stems from watching pimp my ride and west coast customs when I was younger and dreaming of putting together builds while day dreaming in school. Truely a full circle moment!

I'm very keen to take on more projects like this. If you or someone you know wants to build their car on a budget, and it doesn't need to be a show car, you could be a p plater wanting to do things right, or a owner looking to spice up their weekend car. .label.invitational Recap Part 3

The final part of what was an incredible show.
A massive thank you again to all the owners who had their cars in Blacklabel, trusting me to be part of your builds means more than you know.

For a bit of perspective: when Blacklabel was at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds in 2023, I counted 15 cars that I had supported. This year it was 32 (yes I'm saying it again), and what makes that even more special is that none of these cars were on display in 2023.

Working with new, motivated owners and helping bring their vision to life has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
There are already a few new cars in the works for the 2026 show season plus some serious revamps being planned 👀

The goal was lip to fender however the rears did not go low enough. With an aftermarket rear LCA that has a drop built in. There would be no issues airing out lip to fender.
As this was her first time on air suspension I setup all the presets and walked through all the different options!

Haruki needed help dialling in his new wheels for .label.invitational as the fronts would not clear his brakes without a large amount of spacers. This required me to add a significant amount of camber which I was able to find by playing around with his front upper control arm brackets. I was also able to adjust the factory eccentric bolt for the rear upper control arm to help tuck his rears perfectly!

Bryan told me that he found my business after going to Unmarked Melb and seeing my +08 sticker on Lucas BRZ. He actually messaged me that day 🤣

From there we discussed everything he needed for his car, wheels specs, suspension, tyres, etc. After 6 months of waiting on all the parts to arrive, lets give Bryan a warm welcome to the hotboi club.

Kyara was stuck on how to achieve lip to fender on her 86. She had tried and tried and even came to me to look and get some pointers, but no luck. She booked in a time with me so I could dig in and see what was limiting her. Upon digging in, her sway bar and bag type were limiting her from being on the floor, even after I removed a set of locking collars, I still needed to use two sets of camber bolts to both raise the hub (lowering the car) and add camber so she could match.

Unfortunately I was not able to replicate the same in the rear because everything was maxed out and had no adjustment. I played with the bolts a little to get the fitment a tiny bit tighter.

I'm very happy with the results and Kyara is too!
