I’m looking for 3–4 people who have suffered a serious workplace injury and are willing to share their story.
This is something I feel very strongly about.
At Star Aluminium, we design safety access systems every day — platforms, stairs, walkways and purpose-built access solutions — but sometimes people only understand how important the right access is after someone gets hurt.
I want to speak one-on-one with people who have been injured at work because the right access, equipment or procedure wasn’t in place.
Maybe you had to climb onto machinery.
Maybe you stood on a machine guard.
Maybe you used a makeshift ladder, platform or access point because there was no proper solution available.
Maybe you fell from height.
Maybe you were simply doing what you had been shown to do — until one day something went wrong.
I want to hear what happened to you.
How did the injury change your life?
Did it affect your ability to work?
Did it affect your family?
Are you still dealing with the physical or emotional impact today?
And looking back, could proper access equipment, a safer procedure or better planning have prevented what happened?
This is not about blaming or naming your employer.
The company you worked for will not be mentioned.
This is about telling the real human story behind workplace injuries and showing businesses why proper safety access cannot be an afterthought.
The interviews will be filmed professionally for a Star Aluminium workplace safety awareness campaign.
You will be paid for your time and participation.
