𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲 is a locally produced and registered ag lime soil amendment, sourced right here in the Bordertown region.

Diggers Ag Lime deposit in EML 6087 was recently involved in a GRDC PIRSA/SARDI led project, looking at lime supplied across South Australia, and the outcome was positive for Diggers Lime, as a sustainable ag lime supply for our region and recognised on the Acid Soils Southern Region website, that is currently being updated to 2024.
Recent research and development on Diggers Lime has confirmed APAL to update the comments in yellow on the current APAL lime/dolomite analysis report, and the comment better fits the application of Diggers Lime as a sustainable ag lime supply for our region.
In promoting Diggers Lime as a local resource for our region, considering the economics of transport, spreading and application rates to achieve necessary amelioration, please refer to the encouraging, updated comments on the APAL lime/dolomite analysis reports and also the link attached, lime and liming – managing soil health. Highlighting the section “choosing a lime” and please assess the economics comparison of using Diggers Lime, as a local resource, located closest to the farm. Hope this leads to cost savings in spreading Diggers Lime, supporting sustainable farming.

Diggers Lime is currently being monitored in a Precision Ag grid mapping summary, once the documentation on the research has been completed, we will be able to attach the completed report.
Once Diggers Lime has been proven to amend the soil, further sustainable practices in broadacre spreading of compost will also be taking place and captured by Precision Ag in a completed grid mapping summary.
