Today is World Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Day, which aims to raise awareness, share lived experiences and strengthen understanding of multiple sclerosis (MS).

MS is a neurological condition that affects millions of people around the world.

At Balance Mobility, we see firsthand how MS can impact movement, independence and daily life.

World MS Day is an important reminder that:

🔷 Early understanding and diagnosis can make a meaningful difference.
🔷 Access to the right supports and equipment can help maintain independence.
🔷 No one navigating MS should feel alone in their journey.

We’re proud to support awareness days like this because they align with what we care deeply about: helping people stay mobile, connected and empowered in their everyday lives.

By listening, learning, and supporting one another, we can help create a more inclusive and informed community for everyone living with MS.

Today we recognise Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

This day is about encouraging conversations, learning and action around accessibility and inclusion, particularly how people of all abilities can access the digital world equally.

With more than one billion people globally living with disability, digital accessibility is essential for everyone to live their life freely.

At BALANCE MOBILITY, accessibility is at the heart of everything we do. While this day often highlights digital access, its message extends far beyond screens. It’s about creating environments, services and solutions that support everyone to move through life with confidence.

For our community, accessibility means:

🔷 Having the right equipment to maintain independence.
🔷 Feeling included and supported in everyday environments.
🔷 Removing barriers (physical, digital and social) that limit participation

Supporting days like Global Accessibility Awareness Day is important to us because it aligns with our purpose: helping people live more freely, comfortably and confidently, regardless of ability.

What does living well really mean?

We love the idea that palliative is not just about end-of-life, but about adding life to the years you have.

This week is Palliative Care Australia's National Palliative Care Week, which aims to opens conversations, raises awareness and advocate for better access to and acceptance of palliative and end-of-life care.

Every day in Australia, over 450 people across the age spectrum die of a life-limiting illness.

Often conversations about palliative and end-of-life care are avoided because they can feel confronting or ‘too soon’, and many people aren’t sure what palliative care is or when it can help.

But every person with a life-limiting illness can benefit from palliative care - care that is their human right and can enrich their final days.

For National Palliative Care Week 2026, the aim is: Getting to the heart of it. Big Questions. Real Answers.

The objective of the campaign is to make palliative care easier to understand by encouraging honest questions and offering clear, human answers.

🔷 Living well, your way – focusing on comfort, quality of life, and staying connected to what matters.
🔷 Conversation changes everything – showing how starting the conversation can reduce uncertainty and support better planning and care.
🔷 The heart of care – highlighting care that feels personal, safe and respectful for individuals and families.

By encouraging earlier conversations and connecting people with trusted information, tools and support about end-of-life care, we can make a difference to the final days of those with a life-limiting illness.
