Our Queensland facility in Goodna is now open and working, and it has been built around the full life of a machine.

That relationship with a workshop starts long before anything goes wrong. It begins the day a machine arrives, with pre delivery preparation, safety upgrades and modifications to suit the application, and carries on through every service, every maintenance window and eventually every rebuild that keeps it working for years to come. At Goodna, every one of those stages now happens under one roof, with one team seeing each machine through from start to finish.

Phase one of construction has given that team the space and capability to do the job properly. With 2,050 square metres of high bay workshop, a 20 tonne overhead crane and electric roller doors, large machines can be brought in, worked on and moved back out with ease.

So whatever the brand, make or model, and wherever it sits in its working life, the Goodna team is ready to take it on.

Nobody wants to spend shutdown waiting on a courier.

The tricky thing about this time of year is that everyone has the same idea at the same time. A Telestack HF18T is now up and running in a new application for our customer.

With any new setup there are questions that only get answered once the machine is on the ground. As part of the new machine purchase, our service and technical training teams travelled to site to support the customer through commissioning and make sure the transition into operation went smoothly.

Working alongside the customer's crew, the team fine tuned the setup to suit the application and ran in depth training with the operators who will be on the machine every day. The value of this kind of training on site is hard to overstate. Being able to work through questions as they come up, give feedback in real time and adjust on the spot with the customer is something our team takes a lot of pride in, and it sets the operation up well for the long run.

One week out from the The Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA) National Conference and the MPS team is looking forward to being on the ground at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 6th to the 8th of October.

Two machines out the door in under a week.

When a customer's fixed plant rinser screen went down, the clock was ticking and the operation could not afford to wait. They reached out to MPS needing a hopper feeder to divert material and keep things moving, and while working through the brief with the team, a second opportunity emerged. Alongside the Telestack HF520, an Astec SF20 20x5 Incline Mobile Rinser Screen was identified as the right addition to get the operation back on its feet properly rather than just keeping it ticking over.

Both units were prepared and dispatched within a week to meet the customer's urgent requirements.
