We are incredibly proud to congratulate our Chairman, Jim Walker, on being appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours.
The award recognises Jim's significant service to the mining sector, history preservation organisations and the community.
Jim joined SafeGauge as Chairman 18 months ago, bringing with him more than five decades of experience across the mining and heavy equipment industries. Beginning his career as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter with Hastings Deering, Jim went on to hold senior leadership positions across the industry, including CEO of WesTrac, before serving as Chairman and Director of numerous ASX-listed mining and industrial companies.
His deep understanding of the challenges faced by maintenance teams in the field, combined with decades of leadership across mining, manufacturing and technology, continues to provide invaluable guidance as SafeGauge grows globally.
