I was on a site servicing and the cleaners raised poor foaming. I tested their satellites and I showed them how to check their air switches. If this switch is not operating properly the air will not engage hence resulting in poor foam. Teaching cleaners checks has huge advantages in helping to keep their cleaning equipment running and diagnosing potential issues. This helps maintenance staff who are busy keeping plants running. It also means the cleaners are not tinkering touching the wrong thing. Being a cleaner myself and 25 years later fixing machines and cleaning consulting for hygiene departments I am experienced with issues that arise in the middle of the night.
