Hi All,
We will cease trading officially 5:30pm on Tuesday 26th of July, after 30 plus years of service under the Sebastopol Motor Wreckers….. if anyones interested in purchasing the Business name website domain and 30 year old Business phone number it’s up for a price.
Myself, Brad, Strong Dan, Caleb, Little Dan, Steve and all the other staff over the last 6 years of service would like to thank all customers for their ongoing support over this time you guys made all the difference and it’s been a pleasure serving Sebastopol and the greater community, it’s a sad time to be honest.
After Gary & Elspeth Pring started way back in the early 90’s from memory it’s been an amazing journey which Gary & Elspeth Pring made it a household name all around Victoria and beyond.
Since the Passing of Gary Pring who was always in daily even though he had moved on from Sebastopol Motor Wreckers I felt he never really had, still wearing his Sebastopol Motor Wreckers Jumper was always a great sight and while the owner became a customer he was always looking for a bloody deal, I truly respected this man and the many chats we had on the couch in the moved showroom since I took over in 2016 his advice was welcomed and sadly missed..
We haven’t been quite the same place without his presence. And his loss is still a hard one to swallow. I recall working for Gary back when I was 21 he was hard, tough but a fair boss RIP mate.
To my guys especially Bradley Gallegher who had started his apprenticeship under Jason Pring and learned his craft alongside another great man Jason (junior) O‘Donnell who started from the very first years of the business being plucked/poached from the Mobil service station now 7-eleven as a 17 year old from memory by Elspeth, this person has been a great contributor over the business journey and a great friend and a person who would always share his great knowledge around any car, and a person respected by all. Thanks Junior for everything mate you have been a massive help over the 6 years I have been paying the bills:)
Without this man I wouldn’t have managed 2 years let alone 6 So to Bradley Gallagher my hats off to you and your lovely wife Tayla for your full support over these last 6 years you’re a dedicated and loyal bloke and one of the hardest workers I have ever seen in my time from a bloke your age you showed the maturity and smarts of a bloke twice your age, truly you have been the best part of Sebastopol Motor Wreckers in my 6 years and I consider you as Manager a mechanic, parts expert the list goes on but most of all I feel for you like family mate always will I can’t count how many times you have saved my household while making so many sacrifices along the way to your own family love you bro 😎
I’m so sorry we couldn’t achieve more over the journey with you Brad once again mate thanks for everything.
It’s a real shame we couldn’t get the re lease as planned from the owner otherwise Bradley Gallagher would’ve kept the Sebastopol Motor Wreckers legacy going, we tried our best!
I would also love to thank Strong Dan a man who can do it all and has a heart as big as Pharlap, Mr Ford for knowledge. This man is truely special great at anything welding, plastering mechanical, there wasn’t a job this bloke wouldn’t take on, did I mention he is also a handy bodywork/spray painter another loyal friend, thanks again for everything mate.
Caleb Mchoul brads cousin I think 🤔 lol just another top bloke who comes from a similar mould, hardworking loyal and reliable all round, had been know for his moods hmm 🤔 I can’t say a lot there myself but anyone who has ever worked out the back picking parts of our yard knows it’s one of the worst gigs you could take on working in knee high water 💦 pulling parts off has a right to get a little pi**ed off I would say:) and the occasional sleep Hiding in boots while hungover everyone has done that over the years throwing rocks at your co worker who was sleeping in a boot to advise him for me it was Gary or Jason Pring who was on the way… the good old days.
Back to Caleb thanks mate I really appreciate all that you have done right till the end your job is one of the most under appreciated role that’s for sure.
One last thing I will miss out Christmas Day shenanigans and Christmas breakups oh and the swap meet wow 🤩 didn’t some crazy s**t happen there over the years… but I’ll never forget Gary Prings $400 small Coke esky I seriously thought he was dreaming as everyone who would remember and how many people who asked how much but after probably a thousand answers Gary Got that $400 bucks and that sums up Sebastopol Motor Wreckers right there.
Thanks everyone it’s been a great ride and definitely something I underestimated I have learned a lot and learnt my limits and I went well past that I can tell you.
Cheers
Dan Stewart
