Holly Smokes, Now that’s a roof transformation

We had this 38foot gooseneck in over the last couple of weeks, we removed some old whirlybirds and replaced with 16 roof vents, we discovered the roof paint was failing quite badly along with some significant rust forming. As we do we fixed it, stripping all the old paint of right back to bare metal, we repaired the rust, treated it and etched the seams, fully sealed all joints including the vents and all rivet head to ensure no leaking and no further damage. We repaired 22 door lock and removed some non essential interior items and added a stripe on the trailer to match the truck. All in all one heck of a job but the results are well worth the effort .

This week we’re doing a partial make-over for this Amberley float to help prepare it for the next stages of its transformation, and it’s career change. Any guesses what it’s being transformed in to?

STORM DOOR BUILD

This week amongst everything else we managed to get this sleek storm door fabricated painted and installed, must say it’s really come up nicely and fits so well on this tidy 2017 Discovery

We also completed some minor rust concerns , tidying up the guards and sealed up the floor and Tac box are.

And another departs today,

We had this Steven Jays in that we collected for our customer in Warrnambool for a few key touch ups due to some previous repairs starting let go,

We repainted both side wall with a colour match white, tailgate frame, drawbar guards, and interior touch ups, we added check plate to both guards with new clearance lights, replaced some missing roof strip and weather seal as well as some minor repairs to tack latches and urine trap under the floor.

All in all she looks pretty tidy again and ready to hit the roads presenting nicely and functional as it should

Another floor completed this week

So happy to be keeping these floats safe for the precious cargo, we removed and added additional cross members to strengthen this floor up, all new flooring, 10mm equine rubber, re built the ramp board, outer skin and rubber, new kick boards and wall rubber, painted the guards and ramp and a general tidy up with new breach gate padding has this float all set to go again.

Ute tray 2 for the week

This one came in to be tidied up ready for a new life on a new vehicle, fair to say it was well over due, fresh satin black has it looking so clean and fresh and the owner is stoked.

Ute Tray Tidy Up

Something different from a float we have done a couple of Ute trays this week, this is the first of 2 and we removed it from the cruiser so as to strip it down to bare metal to ensure a quality outcome.

It’s great to support our Loyal customers with their maintenance work

Bronwyn had her discovery 2HAL in this week for a few repairs, we added some new rubber to the front bay, new divider wall kick board, new rear kick board and rubber, attended to some loose floor rubber, replaced the tack box locks, gave her a minor wash and polish and repaired some minor electrical issues, all safe and back in action ready to go.
