It’s been a huge couple of months at VTI, with our production team going full steam to get the latest vac truck technology out the door and into the hands of our customers across Australia.

From new builds moving through production to completed trucks heading out for delivery, there’s been plenty happening on the factory floor. Every truck represents months of planning, engineering, manufacturing and collaboration — with a continued focus on building equipment that delivers greater performance, reliability and productivity in the field.

A big thank you to all of our new customers who have put their trust in VTI to deliver their next vac truck. We know purchasing a new truck is a significant investment, and we’re proud to have you joining the VTI family.

We’re proud to deliver five new VTI vacuum excavation trucks to Road And Rail Excavations — three 10,000L / 2,500CFM and two 7,000L / 2,500CFM units, all built on Scania chassis.

For Road and Rail, strengthening their NDD capability was about more than simply adding larger trucks. It was about building the right mix of equipment to support the range of environments and applications their teams work across.

Working closely with their team, we considered payload, accessibility, manoeuvrability and productivity to determine the right combination for their fleet. The mix of 10,000L and 7,000L units gives Road and Rail greater flexibility to match truck capacity and performance to the requirements of each project.

That’s the advantage of working directly with VTI as the manufacturer. We start by understanding what our customers and their operators need from their equipment, then configure the truck around those requirements — not the other way around.

At VTI, we believe the next generation of vacuum excavation equipment should be safer, smarter and easier to operate and maintain.

That means designing trucks around the people who actually use them every day.

Remote operation and greater automation can give operators improved visibility and control, allowing them to position themselves safely around the work area while maintaining control of key truck functions.

Better boom design, increased reach and improved manoeuvrability can also make a significant difference on site — reducing the need to continually reposition the truck while improving access to difficult or confined locations.

By listening to operators and understanding how our trucks perform in real-world conditions, we can continue refining every aspect of the VTI range.
