We have blueberry muffins, carrot cake muffins and pumpkin and walnut muffins..as well as our specials, a pesto stack and a bolognese potato. We’re open for lunch and dinner today and all weekend until Sunday night…then we’ll have a much needed break until Friday!!

Who loves some time at the beach? I also love taking the dogs as they just love it too. There’s also a market on TODAY on the riverbank in Anglesea. So come down and enjoy a lunch or dinner at Diggers Kitchen and enjoy what Anglesea has to offer this weekend. And don’t forget we have a cooking class on THIS TUESDAY the 16th January. It’s so I much more than a cooking class, it’s a lesson about how to be the best version of ourselves as well as learn to cook like a boss and also take home all the food!! Last night I went to the Information session about the deer killing spree that Parks Victoria are about to commence. I asked them what the reasons are for killing these beautiful animals?

Of course, the damage to the environment was their number one reason and I get it as hooves animals are not native and can step on plants etc.

But, if you want to save the environment, what about STOP EATING HOOVED animals??? If people stopped eating animals, maybe some of our land could be regenerated and we’d have a chance of getting some balance back.

The lady from Parks was lovely and I’ve nothing against her at all, it’s just that people don’t look at the bigger picture. Shooting the deer because they “apparently” damage the landscape while feasting on a steak is quite hypocritical .

Why is the answer to so many issues just to start killing ? There has to be a much more humane way to control numbers???

Surely in this day and age we have a better solution than just a bullet to the head for these poor innocent animals? They have just as much right to be here as you and I.

What are your thoughts?

My husband and I are travelling from late December this year to May 2023 and are needing someone to temporarily foster our cat Coco. He is a well behaved kitty that is used to being in and outdoors and adapts well to either. We will take care of the cost of food etc.
