A safe workplace begins with a fit workforce.

Across RJE Global, part of Symphony, being fit for work is essential to keeping ourselves and our workmates safe, whether working in engineering, manufacturing, construction or commissioning.

Fatigue, illness and impairment can affect concentration, judgement and how we respond to hazards. Recognising when we're not fit to carry out a task, and speaking up about it, is just as important as identifying physical hazards in the workplace.

For Week 2 of National Safe Work Month, we're highlighting how being fit for work helps protect ourselves and the people working alongside us.

One team, one goal, safe home every day.

Safety at RJE extends across the full lifecycle of our work, from design and engineering through to manufacturing, construction and commissioning.

With each stage comes different risks, responsibilities and decisions. Managing those well relies on our teams understanding not only their own work, but how it connects with the people and activities around them.

This October, RJE is taking part in National Safe Work Month. The first theme, For life: why WHS matters, is an opportunity to reflect on the role we all have in creating safe and healthy work, regardless of where we sit within a project.

Throughout the month, we’ll look at that responsibility from different parts of our operations and share how it continues beyond a single task, project or workplace.

What a fantastic day at the Adelaide City to Bay 2026! 🎉

A huge congratulations to everyone who got involved and helped make it such a great day.

We were incredibly lucky with the beautiful weather, and it was fantastic to see such a supportive and encouraging atmosphere across the RJE & Symphony team.

With over 40+ entrants our team clocked up an incredible 424km of walking, jogging and running! 🎉 That is an amazing effort and something we can all be very proud of.

It was also so lovely to see some of our little RJE supporters getting involved too! a special well done to Ollie, Felix and Lauren for giving their parents some extra motivation!

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered others on and helped out behind the scenes. It was a great reflection of the RJE team spirit and the way we support one another.

Well done everyone, what a team! 💙

It's not always easy to tell when someone's struggling, especially when they keep showing up, keep getting the job done, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

That's exactly why checking in matters. Not as a once-a-year box to tick, but as something we build into how we look after each other, day to day, on site and off.

You don't need to have the answers. Sometimes just noticing, asking, and listening is what makes someone feel less alone, and helping them find the right support can make all the difference.

We look out for each other here. That's what mateship really means.

August is Tradies National Health Month and a timely reminder to look after your health, both on and off the job.

Whether working on site, in manufacturing or supporting project delivery, it is important to manage fatigue, address pain early and make time for your mental wellbeing. A simple conversation with a colleague can also make a meaningful difference.

We all have a role to play in creating a workplace where people feel comfortable speaking up and accessing support.

500 consecutive workdays without a Lost Time Injury!

RJE’s Summerfield BESS Project has reached an important safety milestone, reflecting the commitment of everyone who has worked on the project since delivery began.

At its peak, Summerfield had more than 100 people working across multiple work fronts, undertaking complex and high-risk construction activities. Reaching 500 consecutive workdays LTI-free in that environment is an achievement shared by our employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and everyone who has contributed along the way.

It reflects a strong safety culture across the project, where looking out for one another, speaking up and maintaining high standards have remained part of how the team works every day.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in reaching this milestone, including those whose work on the project has since been completed.

A significant achievement for the Summerfield team and one we’re proud to recognise.
