For over 35 years, we have worked with commercial developers, government departments, councils, residential developers, and builders on a wide range of projects. We are incredibly excited to announce the promotion of Josie Stevens to Geotechnical Team Lead!

Over the past eight years, Josie has built a broad range of international experience, delivering ground investigations, geotechnical design, and project management across New Zealand, the Pacific, the UK, Europe, and Australia.

Since joining TMK, Josie has played a key role in strengthening our geotechnical engineering capability across Australia. Her technical expertise, leadership, and collaborative approach have made a significant impact across a wide range of projects and teams.

Already Chartered as a Geotechnical Engineer in the United Kingdom, Josie has also recently achieved Chartered status in Australia, further demonstrating her commitment to professional development.

We’re proud to celebrate the next generation of environmental leaders 🌱

Environmental Science remains an important part of what we do at TMK. We understand that the land we work on across Australia carries its own history and significance that must be preserved and respected as communities, infrastructure, and buildings are developed to support ongoing growth.

Each year, TMK sponsors the Environmental Science Prize, recognising outstanding academic achievement and commitment to the field. This year’s recipient is James Graziano, congratulations to James on this fantastic achievement!

Geotechnical Engineering 🪨

We’ve recently expanded our geotechnical services and are excited to share how our team can support projects from early investigations through to detailed design.

Our Geotechnical Engineering services span site investigations and analysis, foundation and structural design, and earthworks and stability solutions, including slope stability, seismic engineering, and temporary works. With extensive experience across diverse project types, from major infrastructure and multi‑storey developments to commercial facilities, our team delivers practical, buildable solutions grounded in a deep understanding of site conditions and project risk.

Extending our Geotech services allows us to work closely with our environmental, civil, and structural teams to deliver coordinated and efficient outcomes.

Celebrating International Women’s Day at TMK 💜

This year, we were proud to host our very first in‑house event dedicated to International Women’s Day, a milestone that reflects our growth and commitment to fostering a more inclusive future in engineering.

We were honoured to be joined by two inspiring guest speakers, Professor Delene Weber and Teresa Janowski, who shared their career journeys in STEM and what this year’s IWD theme means to them. Their insights were a powerful reminder of why championing gender equity remains essential for building a balanced future.

During the event, we announced several key goals and also launched our new Mentoring & Development Program, designed to support the personal and professional growth of women across TMK.

This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey, one where we continue to invest in our people, elevate women in STEM, and champion a more inclusive engineering industry.

Introducing our newest Senior Associate: Trudi Zytveld – Manager, People & Capability.

Trudi’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when ownership, people-first leadership, and growth are genuinely supported.

It’s been a jam-packed year at TMK, filled with exciting projects and plenty of fun along the way. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and can’t wait to keep the momentum going in the new year with our amazing team.

A big thank you to our people, industry partners, and clients for making this another fantastic year.

Celebrating Our People!

We love celebrating our people and their achievements, both on and off the job. Today, we’re shining a light on Byron, one of our talented Site Engineers in the Construction, Asset and Forensic team, who’s been with TMK for over 2 years.

By day, Byron is a Structural Engineer working on structural designs and conducting inspections. But outside of work, he’s been pursuing a long-time passion, Bodybuilding!

After 7 years of preparation, Byron stepped onto the bodybuilding stage for the first time in October and absolutely crushed it!
🏅 1st Place – ICN SA Show
🥉 3rd Place – ICN National Competition

Here’s what Byron had to say about the experience:
“The 13 weeks of dedication was all worth it to experience the ecstatic atmosphere of stepping on a bodybuilding stage for the first time ever in front of my friends who supported me throughout.”
