1973 FORD FALCON XA GT RPO 83 "CHICKEN COUPE"

Over the past few weeks we have had the privilege to overhaul some of the Brake Components from the XA GT "Chicken Coupe". In 2020 the Chicken Coupe was sold for $300,909, after it had sat for 32 Years in a Chicken Coupe in Rural Queensland.

We have overhauled the Booster, replacing all rubber components and valves, bead blasted the cans and the Customer finished it off with their own coat of paint. We have also Stainless Steel Sleeved and Overhauled the Brake Master Cylinder, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder and Rear Wheel Cylinders, and brought these back to their original look. We have replicated the original Brake Hoses using our specially made "Snake Skin" Hose, Gold plated the original hose brackets keeping the Ford stampings and part numbers.

We have recently overhauled a Brake Booster from 1965 Ford Thunderbird!
On arrival the booster had significate rust on the cans and mounting brackets, luckily it was all repairable.

1938 Plymouth Brake Master Cylinder and Wheel Cylinders.

We have overhauled the Brake Master Cylinder, and wheel cylinders from a 1938 Plymouth. All Cylinders were also sleeved in stainless steal. Stainless Steel Sleeving adds great benefit to components as it does not corrode.

HZ Statesman Calipers and PDS

Last week we overhauled Front and Rear Calipers from a HZ Statesman. We were able to reuse the Front Girlock Caliper Pistons, saving the customer some money, however the Rear PBR Calipers required the Pistons to be replaced. We also had to Sleeve the Handbrake Bore with a Stainless Steel Sleeve due to the original being corroded and pitted.

The PDS or Pressure Differential Switch was also overhauled with all seals replaced and circuit contacts cleaned.

1968 J1 Bedford Hydrovac, also known as a Monoblock. This unit is commonly used across J1 and J2 Bedford's of the same era. Just like any of our Hydrovac overhaul's, we have bead blasted, painted and tested the unit.

We also Rebonded the Brake Shoes to suit the Drum Diameter and painted the mounting hardware.
