Hallett Resources is the fastest growing and most dynamic business in the South Australian Construction Materials industry and operates hard rock quarries at McLaren Vale, Kulpara, Truro and a Sand Quarry at Port Clinton. We have a future development resource at Greenock and also operate a recycling business and distribution yard at Dry Creek.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for reliable, experienced Quarry Operators to become an integral part of our team at Truro Quarry in 2022. We are looking for quarry operators with experience in excavator, front-end loader (FEL) rock breaker or articulated dump truck operation. The work activities include but are not limited to hauling raw feed, loading road trucks, feeding the crushing and screening plant and basic maintenance.

To be successful in this role, key responsibilities for Quarry Operators include: -
• Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are
maintained
• Complete pre-start checks
• Operate mobile plant and equipment
• Labouring duties

• Experience driving either a Concrete Agitator or Rigid/Semi

Truss Plant
Our team manufacture wooden floor and roof trusses in our busy Truss plant at Gepps Cross. The role involves:
• Wood work
• Operating machinery (Computer Saw, Docking Saw,
Crosscut Saw)
• Working from plans or worksheets
• Working under pressure to meet deadlines

• Pallet building, wrapping & strapping where required

We are looking for someone with:
• 2-3 years warehouse experience
• LO & LF licence
• Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to get along well with others
• Diligence with adhering to safety practices
• A current Australian Class C Drivers licence

• Pull timber from packs in accordance with cutting list
• Strap timber into pack form
• Label the pack
• Add hardware to pack
• Load orders for customer
• Operate docking saw as required
• Forklift operation
• Re-stock timber as required
• House-keeping of work area and production shed
• Load and unload trucks as required
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, practices and
procedures
• Participate in regular toolbox meetings
• Other duties as required
