To mark this special occasion, our teams hosted celebrations at offices all over Australia. It's our incredible people — past and present — who have not only built infrastructure, but shaped CPP into the trusted brand and reputation we're proud of today.

30 years ago, CPP started as a small South Australian business. Today, we're a national contractor with over 850 people and offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. We've contributed to some of the biggest energy infrastructure projects in the country.

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to CPP's success, and to our clients for their trust in us to deliver their critical projects. Here's to the next chapter — we can't wait to see what we achieve together.

CPP is proud to be part of bringing MATES in Construction to North America.

After more than 20 years of proven impact in Australia and New Zealand, the MATES North America Pilot is now underway across six worksites in the US — testing, adapting and building the foundations for a program that lasts.

This is what global backing looks like. As Founding Partner, Quanta Services — CPP's parent company, is making it possible to bring MATES to construction workers across North America for the first time.

This isn't a copy-paste of the Australian model. It's being shaped by worker feedback, industry consultation and cultural adaptation to ensure it's credible and effective for North American construction workers.

“While I was in hospital, I decided to break the world record.”

Ten months ago, CPP employee Chris Fyvie was in hospital undergoing emergency heart surgery.

Today, he’s a Guinness World Record holder — completing the fastest marathon by someone with a subcutaneous defibrillator. 🏃‍♂️🏆

But this achievement is about more than a world record.

Chris is also using his incredible journey to raise vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the organisation that provided the life-saving emergency care he needed.

Chris had been experiencing a serious abnormal heart rhythm that can lead to cardiac arrest. Following his transfer by the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia to hospital, he underwent emergency surgery and had an implantable defibrillator fitted to help manage his condition.

His recovery meant five months away from work and a lifelong commitment to medication and managing his health.

Ten months later, he’s crossed the finish line at the Sydney Marathon with a world record to his name.

What a comeback. What a story. What an incredible achievement. 👏

Why Brandon Always Stand Behind MATES.

Some initiatives become more than just another program—they become personal. For CPP's Brandon Stewart, MATES is one of them.

“I believe deeply in the work MATES does. I make sure the program is delivered on every project I works on because every conversation matters, and every conversation has the potential to make a difference. My commitment comes from personal experience. In 2017, I lost my best friend, Rob, to su***de. That loss changed the way I see mental health, mateship and the importance of looking out for one another.”

MATES in Construction (Mates Actively Talking to Each Other on Site) is a mental health and su***de prevention program designed specifically for the construction industry.

The industry has made progress, but too many people still feel they need to carry their struggles alone.

It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to ask for help.
And it’s okay to check in on a mate.

Together, we can create workplaces where everyone feels supported and no one has to struggle alone.

THE BIGGEST NIGHT IN PICKLEBALL HISTORY (probably)
Tamworth, NSW is famously known as the "Country Music Capital of Australia" — but these days it's got some competition, with the CPP Pickleball Challenge fast becoming just as legendary.
With the whole team working away from home, staying active and connected matters. When indoor cricket season wrapped up, site manager Peter Jefford asked the team what's next. Their answer: pickleball. Eight weeks and countless fierce games later, it all came down to finals night.

The highlights:
Pav finished 4th, then stayed on to help the umpire understand the rules — because he clearly needed it.
Jono was a no-show, felled by a stomach bug.
Undefeated all season, Pearso lost twice in one night — once to each Glenn brother. Two weeks away from F45 and clearly lacking the match fitness that carried him through his dominant season, allegedly.
That set up an all-Glenn grand final. Mitch showed no mercy, taking it 2-0 over brother James.

Behind the banter — this is what a great team culture looks like. A bit of rivalry, plenty of laughs, and people who show up for each other on and off the tools. Nice one, Peter, and great season, team.

The gold standard for any workplace in the program is to become a MATES Accredited Site. This accreditation is more than a milestone - it's a statement that mental health matters here, and that every worker counts.

This recognition reflects our team's genuine commitment to mental health and wellbeing on site — because looking after each other is just as important as looking after the job.
