Gravity and Tachyon are engineered for flexibility, allowing climbers to descend toward either spliced end while maintaining smooth handling and consistent performance over time.

For ropes like drenaLINE, descending toward the splice should be avoided. If excess cover slack occurs on ropes with only one end spliced, milk the slack toward the free end, cut it off, and heat seal it again.

Always inspect your rope regularly and follow the user instructions before every climb.

Not all ropes with a core and cover are created equal. 👀

Let’s clear something up:
Double braid and kernmantle are related — but not identical.

“Kernmantle” is often used as a general term for ropes with a core (kern) and a sheath (mantle).
But in its most precise sense, it describes parallel core constructions.

A double braid, on the other hand, features a braided core and a braided cover.

So yes — similar concept, but different structure and performance characteristics.

Now here’s where it gets interesting:
Our Gravity rope combines the best of both worlds.

It features
✔ parallel nylon core elements for strength
✔ an additional braided nylon core for structure
✔ and a braided cover for durability and handling

A hybrid construction — engineered for performance where it matters.
