🎉35 Jahre WEDCO Tool Competence – eine Wiener Erfolgsgeschichte!

1991 Jahren gründete Ing. Edip Bayizit die WEDCO in Wien – damals als reines Handelsunternehmen, mit einer Büroangestellten und einer großen Portion jugendlichem Ehrgeiz.

Schon bald kam der erste Handelsvertreter dazu. Fünf Jahre später folgte der nächste große Schritt: der Einstieg in die eigene Werkzeugproduktion.⚙️

Heute beschäftigt WEDCO europaweit über 200 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, produziert nach wie vor zu 100 % in Wien und hat sich als Spezialist für Sonderwerkzeuge und als verlässlicher Partner für anspruchsvolle Zerspanungslösungen weit über Österreich hinaus einen Namen gemacht.

Nur Edip ist im Grunde derselbe geblieben: geradeheraus, voller Innovationsgeist und mit dem ihm eigenen Elan. Lediglich die Haare sind vielleicht ein wenig heller geworden. 😉

🎉35 Years of WEDCO Tool Competence – a Viennese success story!

In 1991, Ing. Edip Bayizit founded WEDCO in Vienna – at the time a purely trading company, with just one office assistant and a great deal of youthful ambition.

Soon the first sales representative joined the team. Five years later came the next big step: the move into in-house tool production.⚙️

Today, WEDCO employs over 200 staff across Europe, continues to manufacture 100% of its products in Vienna, and has made a name for itself far beyond Austria as a specialist in custom tools and a reliable partner for sophisticated machining solutions.

Only Edip has remained essentially the same: straightforward, full of innovative spirit and with his characteristic drive. Perhaps only his hair has gone a little lighter. 😉

Im Rahmen der Intertool X Schweissen 2026 wurden ausgewählte Aussteller portraitiert – wir freuen uns sehr, dass auch WEDCO Tool Competence CEO Thomas Fietz mit dabei ist.

The Custom Edge – Focus on special solutions!
Innovative profile cutter multiplies productivity. As part of the production optimisation for splined shaft gearing, we suggested replacing the T-slot cutter used previously with an innovative profile cutter.
The result: a real boost for gear cutting:
👉 Instead of 1 groove per pass with the T-slot, the special tool now cuts 9 gear grooves simultaneously.
👉 The result: a massive increase in productivity and a clear technological leap in the machining process.

The Custom Edge – VHM-Kronensenker mit Sondergeometrie von WEDCO

Dieser Vollhartmetall-Kronensenker ist ein perfekt angepasstes Sonderwerkzeug, das in der Fertigung deutlich Zeit spart.

Statt die äußere Kontur einer Anschlussstelle – z. B. eine Nut oder Fase mit definiertem Durchmesser – mühsam durch mehrere Fräsvorgänge und Werkzeugwechsel herzustellen, erledigt dieses Werkzeug die komplette Konturierung in nur einem Arbeitsgang. Es arbeitet dabei ausschließlich axial, ähnlich einem klassischen Bohr- oder Senkwerkzeug, und erzeugt dabei die vollständige, achssymmetrische Geometrie des Bauteils in einem einzigen Zustellvorgang.

The Custom Edge – Solid carbide crown countersink with custom geometry from WEDCO

This solid carbide crown countersink is a perfectly adapted special tool that saves a considerable amount of time in production.

Instead of laboriously producing the outer contour of a connection point – e.g. a groove or chamfer with a defined diameter – through several milling operations and tool changes, this tool completes the entire contouring process in a single operation. It works exclusively axially, similar to a classic drilling or countersinking tool, and produces the complete, axially symmetrical geometry of the component in a single operation step.

Zugegeben, dieser Tag mag nicht auf jedem Kalender stehen – für uns aber hat er große Bedeutung. Denn unsere Mission ist klar: Die individuellen Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden schnell und effizient zu verstehen, maßgeschneiderte Lösungen zu entwickeln und ihre Produktion optimal zu unterstützen.💡

Deshalb ist es für uns mehr als nur ein symbolischer Feiertag. Wir zelebrieren ihn mit besonderem Engagement – und das nicht nur heute, sondern auch morgen und übermorgen und überübermorgen und.....💪
