Skin of Choice //

Discipline: Alpinism

Meet our contour athlete Judith Rubner.

Judith’s skin of choice: contour GUIDE PURE 2.0

“For me, the GUIDE PURE 2.0 is the skin for long and steep tours. It offers reliable grip while still delivering excellent glide.

Especially on demanding tours in alpine terrain, it’s my first choice.”

Skin of Choice //

Discipline: Ski Mountaineering

Meet our contour athlete Iain Innes.

A former ski racer turned ski mountaineer, Iain started running and climbing to build fitness and develop skills for skiing. Somewhere along the way, he became a runner and climber too.

Iain’s skin of choice: contour GUIDE SPEED

“The GUIDE SPEED is my favourite contour skin for speed alpinism. It offers the efficiency I’m looking for on fast and long days in the mountains, while the tail clip gives me the extra security I want in more technical alpine terrain. It’s a lightweight and fast setup, but still reliable when conditions get more demanding.”

The contour HYBRID SPLITBOARD is built as an all-rounder for every board, regardless of shape or length.
Thanks to our hybrid adhesive technology, handling wide splitboard skins stays simple: easy to peel off, easy to fold together without foil or mesh, yet reliable on the board when it matters.
65% mohair / 35% synthetic for durability, strong grip and smooth glide.
Flexible front attachment. Secure tail fixation. Ready for long days in the backcountry.

Skin of Choice /

Discipline: Freeride Snowboarding

Meet our contour athlete Celina Weber.

A professional snowboarder and mountaineer, Celina competes on the FWT Challenger Tour and loves expeditions to remote parts of the world, long alpine days and steep north faces. What drives her most is the curiosity to discover new places, take on new challenges and keep developing both personally and as an athlete.

Celina’s skin of choice: contour GUIDE PURE SPLITBOARD

“The GUIDE PURE SPLITBOARD is my current favourite because it’s incredibly durable and still sticks reliably even after the fourth ascent of the day – including in really, really cold conditions.

That’s exactly where I’ve had problems with other skins in the past. And yes, it’s expedition-proven too ;)”

Skin of Choice //
Discipline: Skimo

Meet our contour ambassador Sarah Dreier, Austrian ski mountaineering athlete.

“I’m a passionate ski mountaineer and love looking down into the valley from the summit. There’s simply nothing better than moving through these beautiful mountains.”

Sarah’s skin of choice: contour GUIDE RACE

“I prefer the contour GUIDE RACE skins because they glide really well and, thanks to the special adhesive, are super easy to peel off the skis.”

Before the first ski tour of the season, give your skins a quick check-up:

Check the glue
Make sure it still sticks evenly and remove dirt, hair or needles. If the glue is dry or damaged, refresh or replace it.

Clean & protect the plush
Wipe off dirt in the direction of the fibers and most importantly - climbing skin care
to help prevent water absorption and glopping.

Check tip & tail attachments
Make sure hooks, clips and rubber parts are still in good condition and ready for another season.

25/09/2026

We’re getting ready for the season. Are you?
New things are coming, exciting projects are taking shape, and winter is getting closer. Stay tuned.

Giving leftover climbing-skin material a second life. ♻️

Producing climbing skins inevitably creates fabric offcuts. Instead of letting them go to waste, we turn them into something new: durable contour belts made from leftover climbing-skin material.

Want to turn climbing-skin offcuts into your own belt? Join us at the contour Re-Use Belt Workshop at Alpinmesse Innsbruck, November 21–22, and make your own belt from leftover climbing-skin material.
