¡La seguridad laboral comienza con un radar confiable! ⚠️💦💧🦺⛑️

Aquí les presentamos un ejemplo de un reciente y exitoso proyecto minero en los Andes argentinos, donde nuestro sensor de descarga de radar RQ está contribuyendo a mejorar la seguridad ante inundaciones en un entorno montañoso complejo.

Si bien el río no es caudaloso, los ríos de montaña son altamente dinámicos. En este momento, el nivel del agua es de tan solo unos 12 cm (aproximadamente 70 L/s). Sin embargo, durante un evento extremo con un período de retorno de 200 años, el nivel del agua subirá rápidamente hasta 1,6 m, lo que hace que el monitoreo continuo sea esencial para proporcionar alertas de inundación oportunas aguas arriba.

El sitio de instalación presenta varios desafíos:
🌊Descarga dinámica con transporte de sólidos.
¡Caudal desde unos L/s hasta a casi 20.000 L/s!

❄️ Condiciones climáticas adversas y bajas temperaturas.

🏔️ Un cañón estrecho con muy poca exposición a la luz solar.

📡 Sin cobertura GPRS, lo que requiere la transmisión de datos vía satélite.

A pesar de estas exigentes condiciones, el sistema proporciona un monitoreo continuo y confiable del nivel del agua, lo que permite a las autoridades recibir información en tiempo real y emitir alertas tempranas ante riesgos de inundación.
Proyectos como este demuestran cómo una tecnología de monitoreo robusta puede contribuir a proteger a las comunidades, incluso en los entornos más remotos.
