Energy, history, and a bit of healthy competition! ⚡⚽

Our team spent a fantastic Friday exploring the intersection of industrial heritage and fun. We started the day with a guided tour of the stunning Steyrdurchbruch power plant, an architectural gem where history meets sustainable energy.

After a great lunch, we headed to the soccer park for some football golf. It was the perfect way to recharge, enjoy the outdoors, and crown our champions! We wrapped up the day with a victory celebration and some excellent food.

Huge thanks to everyone for making this day so memorable. Team spirit at its finest!

New Commissioning in Austria! 🎉
We are proud to announce the successful commissioning of the new Hansenhütte hydropower plant in Kapfenberg, Austria. Not only does the plant feature a high-performance 718 kW Kaplan turbine, but we also managed to complete the installation two months ahead of schedule!

By strategically relocating the powerhouse 500 meters downstream, we achieved a significant increase in head, unlocking a new dimension of efficiency for our client pewag.

Technical Highlights:

🔹 Installed capacity: 718 kW
🔹 Net head: 13,4 m
🔹 Design flow: 6,8 m³/s
🔹 Fully pre-assembled "ready-to-install" drivetrain

Powering this performance is a state-of-the-art automation and control system from our subsidiary H&W Control GmbH, ensuring seamless operation and maximum reliability.

This is another proud example of our water-to-wire project delivering sustainable, high-efficiency energy solutions.

Linz Staffelmarathon: 2026 Edition. Done! ✅

Sunday in Linz meant only one thing for us: it was time for the 24th Linz Donau Marathon! Keeping up with our tradition, GUGLER Water Turbines hit the pavement once again with two high-energy relay teams.

For us, it’s about more than just showing up. Whether we are engineering turbines or hitting the asphalt, we always bring our best pace. This year was no different, and our squads proved that the “GUGLER energy” is as consistent as ever:

⚡ GUGLER Runners 2 delivered a great performance with a net time of 3:24:56, securing a fantastic 46th place in their category!
⚡ GUGLER Runners 1 kept the momentum strong, crossing the line in 3:38:00.

From the first 10km to the final stretch, it was all about teamwork. A massive shout-out to our runners: Sebastián, Kevin, Stefan, Oleksandra, David, Lukas, Michaela, and Michael. You represented the GUGLER spirit perfectly!

Legs might be sore today, but our hearts are full. We’re already looking forward to keeping the streak alive next year!
