MACE, in the ealry years, had been working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi under the name of MIDFA – MACE. With strong leadership from William Haddad, his attention to detail to deliver an assurance of expertise and quality in our construction works, we were amongst the first companies in the region to achieve the ISO 9001: 2000 accreditation. Since then we have secured further accreditation including ISO
14001: 2004 (Environmental Management Systems) and BSi 18001: 2007 OHSAS (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems). As demand for qualified contractors increased throughout the recently formed United Arab Emirates, MACE expanded its business operations, playing a significant role in the development of critical infrastructure in the major cities of the in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. MACE developed a strong reputation in sewage systems and waste water treatment works together with the plant operation and maintenance. We worked in the construction of Hospitals, Hotels, Exhibition Centres, Industrial Warehousing as well as undertaking a variety of Turn key Projects. MACE has also completed a range of projects with the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), including ARAMCO with major construction projects for Oil, Gas and Water Pipelines. In keeping with the drive for innovation we encourage and fund our staff to undertake their CPD seminars (Continuing Professional Development), to keep abreast of new methods of management, accounting and engineering technologies, whether that be at home in Abu Dhabi and the the UAE, or Overseas. We have a strong professional staff base with highly experienced Chartered Engineers and Construction Specialists backed up by essential support services staff with Publi Reations Officers (PRO) and Human Resources (HR) specialists on hand and capable of mobilising entire project teams within Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). MACE recognise the value in, and where ever possible recruit from within the Abu Dhabi and the Emirates, as this ensures a robust awareness of local culture which in turn benefits our clients, stimulates the economy and allows MACE to become ever more integrated within the community. In support of Project Delivery we have an extensive Asset Portfolio of Plant, Vehicles and Machines along with a well stocked Materials and Parts Store, to ensure all projects can proceed without delays throughout Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MACE's competitive spirit, and the will to lead, extends to leisure activities too. The annual Raft Race in Abu Dhabi requires training, coordination and demands strong team work, and over the years of participation with friends, staff and employees we have won several trophies. Over 44 years after its initial endeavour, MACE now operates from a network of established offices throughout the Middle East Regions inclunding Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
