Kappa is an Italian sports and casual wear designer, manufacturer and distributor. It was founded in 1916 as a sock and underwear company, and has since
expanded its collection to professional sports and a wide range of casual wear clothing. Kappa is recognized as a leading sports sponsor and supplier, and it first sponsored the Italian football Club Juventus. Up through the 1980s then followed a

large number of prominent European football clubs: AC Milan, F.C. Kappa did not stop at football, but continued to expand its presence in other sports such as athletics, basketball and Formula 1. Kappa sponsored the famous
U.S. national track and field team - and thus legends such as Carl Lewis, Florence
Griffith Joyner and Janice - in Los Angeles (1984) and Seoul (1988). Today the brand sponsors teams all over the world – including Roma and Valencia in southern Europe, the Norwegian BRANN and Danish F.C.
