DesertBoard hosted Engineering Contracting Company’s (ECC Contracting) leadership and senior management team at its factory in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi—highlighting the growing role of sustainable building materials in advancing modern construction practices.

The visit offered firsthand insight into Palm Strand Board (PSB®), the region’s most sustainable building material produced from upcycled palm fronds. The team were briefed on the processes of how raw materials are sourced, processed and refined, strand formation and drying, high-pressure mat forming and hot pressing, and precision finishing for use across construction, interior fit-out, events, and landscape applications.
