Toyota Hybrid Family Battery Cooling

Part: High-Voltage Suction Fan / Blower Fan

Location: Underneath the rear seat bench .

Function: Thermal management. This fan cools the hybrid battery modules during charge/discharge cycles to prevent overheating.

⬇️ The Issue (Pictured Below):
This fan is clogged. When airflow is restricted, the battery modules cannot cool efficiently. This leads to:

Overheating of individual battery cells.

Check Engine Light (CEL) or "Check Hybrid System" warnings.

Reduced Battery Lifespan.

💡 Professional Advice:
A clean fan is non-negotiable for battery longevity. Because this fan draws air from the cabin, keeping your car's interior clean directly impacts your hybrid battery's health.

Regularly inspect/replace the fan filter.

Do not block the vent near the rear seat.

If your CEL is on related to battery cooling, address it immediately to avoid module failure.
