Videojet is a vigorously marketed product but lack corresponding support in some areas, is highly pirated, by both Agents and other players.

Clients find themselves subjected to a lot sub-standards all in the name of Videojet. My question is how do clients differentiate between OEM Videojet products and "Other Videojet Products?"

This is particularly in reference to inks and makeup.

What is this Videojet Inkjet Printer & how does it work?

The Answer:

Well, this is an industrial printing machine for printing expiry (Best Before) dates & batch numbers on products like drinks, margarine, icecreams, yogurts, chocolates etc. It is also used to print on extrusion PVC pipes. The machine only prints on a moving target (products on a conveyor belt or on extrusion machines for PVC pipes and cables). The printing process is a non contact one, i,e. there is no contact between the product and the printer. This is achieved through the use of product detectors that send a signal to the machine to spit ink droplets on to the moving product.
