From Raw Pellets to Industrial Strength: What Goes Into Making Our Sacks? ๐ค
Behind every heavy-duty sack that protects Zambia's agricultural harvests and industrial goods is a high-grade raw material called Polypropylene (PP) granules. These tiny, durable plastic pellets are the foundation of modern industrial packaging.
The manufacturing process begins by melting these raw granules down at high temperatures. Once liquefied, the material is extruded into thin, continuous plastic sheets, which are then slit into incredibly fine, thread-like tapes. These tapes are stretched and wound onto bobbins to maximize their tensile strength.
Finally, these high-strength tapes are fed into circular weaving looms, where they are tightly woven together to form the robust, tear-resistant fabric used to construct our sacks. Because polypropylene is naturally resistant to moisture, chemicals, and heavy stress, choosing the right grade of raw material ensures that the final bags can withstand rigorous transport, rough handling, and long-term storage without failing.
