🔥 2 × Brand New 65mm × 30m Layflat Fire Hoses 🔥

The hoses were donated brand new and still sealed in their original boxes — an incredible blessing to our organisation and our operational capability.

As a non-profit emergency support service, specialised firefighting equipment like this is extremely expensive, and donations of this nature make a real and direct difference to our ability to respond effectively during emergencies and the upcoming fire season.

🚒 With sufficient water supply available, we now have a total of 90 meters of layflat hose capacity, significantly improving our firefighting and refill operations in the field.

These larger 65mm hoses will primarily be utilised during:

We exist for one purpose only —
👉 to support our community when emergencies strike.

All emergency assistance provided by Asterix is free of charge.
We do not operate for profit, and we do not charge for emergency support.

Asterix was built through significant personal investment, training, and ongoing operational support, allowing us to maintain professional equipment, readiness, and a high standard of response. Donations and sponsorships, where received, are used solely to sustain operations and availability — not for profit.

Asterix The Long Firefighting Dog NPC is not a licensed Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in terms of the EMS Regulations of 2017.

We are a community emergency support service, and our role is to:

• Provide fire and rescue support
• Deliver basic medical first response within trained limits
• Support licensed EMS, Fire Services, and SAPS
• Never replace or impersonate statutory emergency services

🎓 SAQA-ALIGNED TRAINING

Our responders are trained in accordance with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) framework, including:

Perform Basic Life Support & First Aid Procedures

This ensures:
• A lawful scope of practice
• Clear operational boundaries
• Public and responder safety
