This notice serves to inform all the merSETA stakeholders that the NSDMS system will be open for the 2026/2027 Mandatory Grant applications from 2
February 2026 to 30 April 2026.
Skills Development Facilitators (SDF) are reminded of the following reporting periods:
● The Annual Training Report (ATR): 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.
● The Workplace Skills Plan (WSP): 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
Sign-Off Requirements
Stakeholders are advised to take note of the following requirements regarding the sign-off of Mandatory Grant applications:
● Where a recognition agreement exists between the organisation and labour/ labour union, regardless of the size of the workforce, a Labour SDF who
is a member of the Training Committee is required to sign-off the grant application on or before the deadline date.
● Where a recognition agreement does not exist and the company employs 50 or more employees, an Employee SDF who is a member of the Training
Committee is required to sign off the Mandatory Gant application on or before the deadline date.
● Organising Framework for Occupations (OFO) Codes: Stakeholders are further advised that the 2021 OFO Code Version will be applicable for the
current reporting period for both the ATR and WSP submissions.
