Fordham Air turned 10yrs old today!! 🎉It's about time we did a llttle intro and said hello 👋🏼
It feels like the other day we flew home after more than a decade in the UK, with an idea, a dream! We are Durbanites but Cape Town, a city we do not know at all, would now be the place we call Home and although daunting we were so excited for our next adventure now as Mr & Mrs Fordham!
What we did know was that however this business was going to run or however it would end up, we wanted to give people the best service they could get in CPT! Matt’s expertise & experience gave us the confidence to take the leap & we put in everything we had. Let’s just say that year was brutal, it was literal blood sweat and many many tears (from me mostly not matt 😉🤣)
Growth comes in many shapes and forms, sometimes disguised as mistakes, self doubt, fear. Those next few years that followed were complete hustle, many challenges, but also a lot triumphs and wins, including our first premises/office in Montague Gardens.
Going into our 5th year in 2020 it was a huge milestone, we finally felt like we could take a breath, our busiest Summer yet and the future was exciting, then bam….COVID!!! Global chaos, a very difficult time for everyone but by the grace of God we made it through with most of our staff and a LOT of debt! And a newborn!! 💙
One big job led to another & somehow its now 2026 and our 10th year of business. As we reach this major milestone, we look back on our journey and feel a deep sense of pride, an incredible rollercoaster journey of wins, lessons, personal development, hard work and trust.
They say building a business with your spouse is one of the most powerful partnerships you can have. Not without its challenges, and Lord knows we’ve had our days 🤣
Success also lies in the partnerships formed with clients, the loyal customers who trust in us and support our journey. Without you we wouldn't be here so we thank you 🙏🏼
And last but never least, our staff. Hardworking and dedicated, helping to move our business forwards alongside their own growth and achievements. A partnership that may ebb and flow as life changes but a partnership equally as important 🙏🏼
