Precision matters long before the engine starts for the first time.
Here, Oom Oskar is line drilling an engine block after repair work was completed.
The purpose of the process is to make sure the crankshaft bearing tunnels are perfectly aligned and machined to specification again.
Without this step, the engine could suffer from premature bearing failure and internal damage.
It’s one of those critical behind-the-scenes processes that most people never get to see.
