Business words of Wisdom from Daphney Makhubela

So you have registered you company I take it you are fueled up you want to run with it you see yourself driving the biggest car and living in your dream home ...Stop right there and believe me when I tell you it will not happen so quick and when the reality hits you ... you will wish as if you should have never left your job if you were working and you will think that life is just so unfair ....vele life is so unfair but DID YOU DIE?...now enough with the scary part let's get to business

As promised I'm going to share a few business ideas from today until Friday these ideas are just one of the many random ideas I get to think about on a daily basis but somehow I don't get to implement them I know if done correctly they will yield results they require little or no money from yourselves .

Remember LEVERAGEπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

Simple put it is when you use other people's time and money to make money

But How ?πŸ‘€I'm sure you are now asking yourselves
Easy
1.Identify what is it that you wanna leverage on
Approach the relevant people you want to work with and do your pitch (Brief description of your business)

Please don't pitch for a gazillion hours most people make up their mind about you within the first 3 minutes they see you especially business people so don't come with long stories just say who you are what you intend doing and how you need their help and that should be enough .

For example I spoke about funerals and their significance especially in our Black communities
Every weekend there is a funeral in our communities (you just thank God if it's not yours ) there reality is one way or another we are all going to die .....now enough about dying πŸ˜†
But
You know when there is a funeral we want to be seen as having provided the best funeral to our loved ones and how we as black people do that is:
We buy the best coffin in the market (which doesn't make sense but we do it anyway )

Then there is FOOD
Ahhhh everything can come to a Standstill if there is no food πŸ₯˜ and who prepares the food Nowadays it is the Caterers provided by Who ? THE FUNERAL PALOURS πŸ’‘ ahaaaaa there we go So where do you fit in the with today's business idea

(The FOOD PART ....please leave the coffins to the owners iyhooo 😳😳😳)

We will Provide a service be the middle man in all things FUNEREALLY πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ I know there is no such word but what the heck we want to make money who cares πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

We all have had funeral or have been to a funeral and kahle kahle no one wants to peel the veggies now imagine if somebody had to offer that service kwatiwe nje elokshini kutsi Veggie Girl/Boy ngubani I promise you everybody would jump for your services from Caterers,Family Members of the deceased and so forth cause you would have taken the peeling job and given them more time to gossip ...you know mos what goes on lapha emlilweni nakuphekwa πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

It is doable think on a bigger scale but do not despise small beginnings even the Bible say so (I forgot the verse but it is on Zakhariah something something πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ)

I have a few guidelines on how you should do this (they are very easy to follow unless nawe ucine inhloko)
1 Approach Funeral Palours especially those that have a catering packages (there is a catering package now going with funeral covers believe me times have changed)offer them a vegetable package for the families and also explain that it will set them apart from all the funeral Palours who don't offer such (convince then use reverse psychology)ask them to in turn instruct their caterers to get peeled veggies from you and advice them to consider that as a pre-requisite for their caterers database if they agree ( which they will)sign a binding contract with them that they are going to use your services for a certain period start maybe with 1 year but offer them a good deal like for every 10th caterer who comes for your package you pay a one month fee for their disadvantaged clients or whatever that you think will work believe me if you know you story they will agree mnchwihhh stru bob πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

Remember
Once you land a new client, be sure to go above and beyond the call of duty for at least the first month. You’ll have this customer hooked from then on.

For this idea you will need

of Funeral Palours from around your area

of vegetable suppliers from your community usually co operatives you can ask your nearest Department of Agriculture (Remember we want to circulate the money within black businesses)

Measuring Scale(You can check this at Equipment Warehouse or any Catering place) this is necessary to avoid misunderstandings that may arise like people saying you stole their pumpkin and so on you know mos how we roll ngekuntjontjisana

#4 Part time workers preferably students but the choice is yours
of knives and peelers and packaging plastics when you advance you can buy the vegetable πŸ₯’ cutting machinery there is a variety

Mostly you will need
tenacity to achieve your set goals remember out of the 10 people you are going to approach maybe 1 will listen to you and give you a chance some will steal your idea some will think you are crazy( like some of you think I am ) isokhey isoryt JUSt don't stop eventually things will workout.

We shall meet tomorrow

The sky is not the Limit ...Go beyond It

Love
DAPH MπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½

Need Investors?

These are 4 things Investors look for in a Start Up:

1. Dynamic market opportunity-How big is the addressable market that your company is looking to serve?
2. Team's ex*****on capability- A potential investor will keenly look into why your team is well positioned to build and execute a plan and become a market leader.
3. Commercial traction- An important way to de-risk an investment opportunity is to show investors that you're not just all talk but have already begun taking action to build the business.
4. Investor relevance. - Do not underestimate the importance of investor fit.
5. The X factor- What makes you business special?

Successful entrepreneurs keep a narrow focus--on the customer that is paying their bills. They do not forget that everything that they do is for the customer, since the customer is the one that is allowing them to do anything in the first place. A good business owner will always have time for a customer, whether they have a complaint or praise. Having good customer focus will mean that you see every customer as an opportunity to do better and grow, versus an annoyance or a difficulty. Contact us for more information. [email protected]
