Everest Base Camp Trek - CURRO Hillcrest We are currently planning an expedition to Everest Base Camp. Our goal is to take 15 our CURRO Hillcrest High School learners to visit Nepal and Base Camp.

Our goal is to take between 15 and 20 of our CURRO Hillcrest High School learners to visit Nepal and then head off to base camp. The reason for our trip is twofold:-

* To visit Nepal and provide some aid and support to the people of Nepal following the devastating earthquake which took place in April last year. We have been in contact with people in Nepal, and one request is to support a school f

or disadvantaged kids called “Little Seeds”. This school was founded by a man by the name of, Jyoti Adikhari. Due to the fact that the children are predominantly from the lower caste, they were afforded no relief from the Nepalese government. Our goal is to spend time with the children and to provide support in terms of equipment, toys, writing materials, subsidies, etc.

* To give our pupils an unforgettable experience of trekking to Everest Base Camp – give them a story to tell.
