I am JR (Jean-Robert), a Swiss born motor technician who lived and worked in Cape Town for 30 years. Now retired, I have returned back to Cape Town after a 10 year stint in Switzerland to follow my passion in the motor trade. I`ve set up BuggyMan, a rental, sales and repair business specialising in the VW flat four (boxer) powered beach buggies. With still a bit of Swissness flowing in my veins, all my work is carried out conscientiously with pride, precision and honesty.

For our friend in Tanzania we sourced and restored a 1997 Sportster 1200 that had seen better days.

Faced with so many electrical disasters on many Buggies, BuggyMan has developed a central control panel containing all the relays and fuses. Each electric item connects directly to it, which greatly facilitates installation, fault finding, and access to the fuses.
