DUSTY SKIES
“Dusty skies, a canvas vast and wide,
Where you, dear pilot, did your duty stride.
The wind, a song, a whisper in your ear,
As fields of green, you nurtured year by year.
The sprayer's hum, a rhythm in your soul,
A legacy of life, beyond the pole.
The crops you saved, the bounty you did sow,
A harvest brought, a vibrant, verdant glow.
Now, in the clouds, you join the silver flight,
A star alight, a beacon in the night.
The land remembers, where your spirit takes its rest,
A gentle soul, forever in the west.
Though we are left, with sorrow and with pain,
Your memory lives, in sunshine and in rain.
We'll watch the skies, and know you're soaring free,
An agricultural legend, for all eternity.”
