Economizer: A Powerful Energy Saving Tool for AIX Boiler Plant's Coal-Fired Boilers

In the AIX Boiler Plant's coal-fired boiler system, the economizer is an essential and critical component. It acts like an "energy steward," safeguarding efficient boiler operation and energy conservation.

The economizer's core function is to utilize the heat from the high-temperature flue gas discharged from the coal-fired boiler's tail flue to preheat the feed water entering the boiler. In traditional coal-fired boiler operation, large amounts of high-temperature flue gas are directly discharged, wasting valuable heat energy and increasing ambient temperatures. The economizer changes this situation. When the low-temperature feed water flows through the economizer, it fully exchanges heat with the high-temperature flue gas, significantly raising the water temperature before entering the boiler drum. This process effectively recovers the flue gas' heat, reducing fuel consumption. Actual operating data from the AIX Boiler Plant shows that installing the economizer can increase the thermal efficiency of the coal-fired boiler by 5%-8%, achieving significant energy savings.

The economizer also protects the boiler. Preheating feed water before entering the boiler avoids the temperature shock caused by low-temperature water directly entering the high-temperature drum, reduces thermal stress on the drum, and extends the boiler's service life. Furthermore, due to more complete fuel combustion, harmful emissions from flue gas are reduced, meeting current environmental protection requirements.

In the production and operation and maintenance of coal-fired boilers at the AIX Boiler Plant, we always prioritize the selection, installation, and maintenance of economizers. We customize economizers based on the parameters and operating conditions of each boiler to maximize heat exchange efficiency. During routine maintenance, we regularly clean ash deposits from the economizer tube bundles and inspect the equipment's operating status to ensure the continued stability of the economizer.

The use of economizers in coal-fired boilers is a key manifestation of the AIX Boiler Plant's commitment to energy conservation, consumption reduction, and green production. Going forward, we will continue to explore optimization and upgrades in economizer technology to provide more companies with efficient and energy-saving coal-fired boiler solutions.
