It is a huge issue with parts on back order, from material too production and that includes everything in between!

Every vendor, manufacturer is doing their absolutely best to work hard and ship parts as they are coming along, in a busniess world that is how you you make money! Nobody wants you to not be able to make your most important race of the year, nobody wants you not be able to take your Hot aout out for the day because the sun is out or summer has arrived. The industry is facing hardship on every level and we the customer need to understand this, life will go on, your order will at some point arrive, with lots of hard ship to make it come together.. from the material supplier and down the line to the manufacturer, the shipping company's and in the end the company you made the decision to order from and they will choose to make the decision to ship your order finally overseas with who they think are a good choice!
Racing events has been cancelled in the US and overseas, this has been going on for almost a year and a half. Company's overseas are scared to order in containers with slicks as an example so they don't do it, they do not want to be stuck with a huge investment that do not sell because race event is cancelled. I think more than ever it is time for my overseas customer to truly appreciate the effort your local speed shop that is working hard to keep a inventory at your hands year around.
Maybe you can make suggestions to them like.. hey why not start to stock Hoosier slicks.. or something in that line.
It must be a better way for us all to make this work.
Most of my Customers are from my native Country of Sweden, I truly care about every single one of them, but the world is changing and I believe that going back to your local Speed Shop will be the new norm! Without mentioning any names, they have been working so hard over the last 30 years with the changes and Internet and all the modern world.. put the part on your basket.. easy
How about making a phone call talking about your issue or what is the best choice for the camshaft.. and so on. That is price less.
How about I want this part I cannot have anybody ship it by Air Freight, it needs to go in a container.. someone needs to handle it all from the US side and then from the Swedish side.. it's not that easy as you may think.
Over the years 36 actually I have worked hard to establish great relationships to make this work really well, It has become a smooth sailing for sure.
And without mention any names you all know who works hard and care about your parts!
We after all are in this because we care about you as a customer and at the same time do not do this as a hoppy, we make a living out of you !
I have always loved what I do and that is why I am still in Busniess at Autoshop 40 years later!!
