From Apical Periodontitis with Bone Loss to Successful Anterior Implant

Apical periodontitis with buccal bone loss requiring extraction and immediate implant placement.

Bone Condition (Type II Socket)
Loss of the buccal alveolar bone was present, while soft tissue recession remained minimal.

Placement & Stability
Under D2 bone quality, standard drilling protocol was performed prior to placement of AXEL 4.2 Γ— 9.5 mm.
Excellent primary stability was achieved, enabling a one-stage surgical approach.

βœ” GBR Procedure
Intra-socket bone grafting was performed using xenograft material to compensate for the buccal bone defect and support hard tissue regeneration.

Result
Stable immediate implant placement achieved despite compromised buccal bone conditions.

A Highness short-base abutment was connected for immediate provisionalization, followed by delivery of the final Cementless restoration at 7 weeks post-surgery.

The SAFE Fit Cementless Abutment System supported biological stability and simplified long-term maintenance by eliminating residual cement risks.
