This Buick had a little mishap and the front fender needed replaced. got the new fender fit and metal finished some shipping damaged out. After we stripped all the original E-coat off put a fresh coat of epoxy, little bit of bodywork then the process of color matching the gold and stripes.

Work in progress making a cover to help hide the hydro booster on this TA. I will finish off the top and probably about a bead or two to the top.

Ford “let’s see how many holes we can put in the shock towers and firewall on these fox bodies”. Welding patched and smoothed all the unnecessary holes.

Whipped up some new inner door bottoms for this 57 truck. The originals had pinholes and had been patched several times already.

Little tip for finishing off seams. Last step right before paint. I tape it off, use 3m 5887 then un-tape it before it dies, then after it dies little sanding. Then one lite coat of primer if needed, then on to paint. I’ve used this method many times over the years and I’ve have the best results with it. #5887

Lower core support on this Mustang had a bit of damage(no crowds were harmed)🫣. My guy Dave made quick work of it and got a new one welded and smoothed out.

Ol’ Pontiac frame work has been finished up and we have started the process of fitting the front sheet metal and core support to the new rails.

Had to jog back out for the front of the rails to meet up with the bumper and make room for the core support. Ol’ Pontiac is going to be slick.

Grafting the new suspension was a bit of a task on this old Pontiac. The new clip is narrower and smaller tubing. Few different ways we could have done this, we chose the simple but yet effective route. We added backers to the inside so everything will be plenty strong. This car isn’t going to be an all out show car, the owner just wants years of dependability and enjoyment.

Front clip got cut off the Pontiac. We will be replacing it with a kit. It will be lower, better steering and a better ride. Win, win, win….

We got the Mustang rear end cleaned up and sprayed black. New brake lines feed the new setup. And a new set of axles to finished off the 5 lug swap. #8.8ford

Originally these doors looked to be in great shape. After a little inspection we found lots of pinholes, rusted and halfas* repaired hinge mounts, and a lot of surface rust inside. Lucky with a good blasting most the rust was in the bottom and hinge mounts so we elected to repair what we had.

BBT fab knock this out of the park. The part was pretty rough to start with and with multiple attempts with a chromer that said they could fill it. I sent it to @bbtfab they scanned it fixed all the imperfections then sent me a 3d model. The end result made from aluminum is outstanding. Huge focus for this truck was gaps, particularly the hood, cowl, fender and door transitions. If you have ever looked at one of these truck you know most don’t fit good in that area. I wanted this truck to stand out in that area and be flawless. A good paint job can be ruined but crappy gaps. #wheatstatehotrods #gapit #c10trucks #evercoat #3m

Truly amazing what you can do with a little knowledge and some time. @polywerx_nc came through big on this 3d printing job. I watched a few videos on YouTube and just went for. The old ac duct setup didn’t work at all, not sure what they were trying to do. So I designed one in fusion 360 and sent it over to polywerx and the next day I have a part. #wheatstatehotrods #3dprinting #fusion360 #gamechanger

Getting the new firewall ready to weld in on this 57 pickup. Nothing super crazy just clean and simple. The old one was just too rough to try and save. Ran all the beads with the reciprocating hammer, still learning that machine. Every part gets a little nicer each time. #wheatstatehotrods #fabrication #sheetmetalfab

All the parts for the 57 Chevy truck have been stripped, media blasted, cleaned, sanded and coated in epoxy primer. Now to get the metal work and rust cleaned up. #wheatstatehotrods

65 C10 one step closer to paint. Got the first round of primer blocked down and ready for another round of primer. Only a few areas that need some more attention. #wheatstatehotrods #c10nation
