I did say these fireball mega squares would make a big difference other than just being able to make gates again.
The quality 99% of people will never notice if your not from a metal working back ground, a frame with perfect 90degree angles, a gate made to the exact millimeter dimension. Beveled welds on 45° cuts give full penetrated welds and spread the wieght across the full frame while allowing a flush finish ready for powder coating.
Could be done faster and cheaper and most would never notice but id rather be poorer and proud knowing its done to the best I can do, im not the greatest welder out there but im constantly trying to improve and can finally say, for a self taught idiot starting in an old bird aviary shed 10 years ago with the cheapest equipment possible I often see and even repair gates and other things made by fully qualified welders and fabricators.
And I can proudly say I did it all without help, without mum n dad's money, no loans no hand outs, just hard graft over and over for years.
Im still poor, still in a shed with an extension lead for power and still on cheap machines but I can give the big guys a good run for their money and will keep improving and investing in better equipment.
.....can you tell I went to a customers to drop off an piece and saw a very poorly made gate and fencing recently, 😅 I could see the welds from the van 🤣🤣🤣
