Last Friday, we celebrated Día del Niño at Colegio La Cruz in Reynosa, Mexico 🇲🇽
Music, dancing, art, and a few piñatas! Thanks to our partners at Save the Children, plus generous support from House of Love & Justice, we shared pizza, cupcakes, and time together as a community.

We also marked an important milestone: the completion of our first hygiene station at the school. Designed with input from students themselves, it provides consistent access to essential hygiene products for girls, women, and their families, while helping reinforce the school as a safe, shared space.

Moments like these are a reminder of why sustained partnership matters. Our work with Colegio La Cruz has grown over the past year, and we’re just getting started.

Last Friday, our Community Health Promoter, Karely Chávez, facilitated a Psychological First Aid training for some of our Reynosa partners working closely with a variety of vulnerable groups.

Together, we’re building a network of care, so that support, compassion, and informed response are always within reach, even when we aren’t physically on site.

Last Friday, we hosted our first ever community health fair in Reynosa and it was an incredible day. Over 110 community members joined us. Everyone who attended received some form of support, and the energy throughout the day was truly powerful.

From health education and vaccinations to haircuts and dedicated space for children, the fair brought together a wide range of services in one place. More than 15 women were able to receive essential screenings, including mastograms and PCR tests for cancer prevention and other diseases.

This event was led by our Community Health Promoter, Karely Chavez, with the support of our field team and local partners. We are especially grateful to Rosangela and Pastor Mauro for opening their space to make this possible.
This is what community-centered care looks like.

Dison Valladeres, our staffer in Tapachula, Mexico, is sharing a look at one of the many urgent needs at Belén Shelter. One of the most pressing is repairing the wall and fence so the space can remain secure for the women and children living there. Safety, privacy, and dignity matter — and they start with a secure place to stay.

This World Health Day, we’re celebrating a simple act with lifesaving impact: handwashing with soap. Thanks to community handwashing stations and the soap we provide, children and families can take a small step that helps protect their health every day.

Dison Valladeres, our Project Manager in Tapachula, MX, explains some of infrastructure needs at the Belén Shelter. Currently, the bathrooms where women shower are not adequately covered, leaving them exposed in undignified conditions. In this video, Dison walks us through the space and some of our planned solutions to this issue.

Menstrual health education matters.

Our menstrual health workshops create safe, supportive spaces for girls to learn about their bodies, ask questions, and talk openly about menstruation, a natural part of growing up.

In a recent session at Colegio Cristiano La Cruz, the girls explored the menstrual cycle through interactive activities: from building a clay model of the uterus to watching videos and practicing relaxation exercises. Most importantly, we shared a space for honest conversation about their fears and experiences, breaking stigma and building confidence together.

As Ramadan comes to a close, we’re asking our community to turn generosity into action. 🌙

Through our Ramadan Giving Campaign, Solidarity Engineering is raising funds to build life‑saving infrastructure in displacement settings, provide safe water and sanitation systems, and facilitate women’s health programming that provides menstrual supplies, private and dignified facilities, and health education for women and girls.

Your support helps keep water flowing, hygiene spaces safe, and women’s health needs from being treated as an afterthought in camps and along migration routes.

If you’re giving Zakat or Sadaqah at the end of Ramadan, please consider supporting this work today. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us show up with practical, dignified infrastructure fo

Women Who Build: Lara

Sometimes the opportunities women have — or don’t have — come down to geography.

Lara, our project manager in Jordan, reflects on the role “geographical luck” can play in shaping women’s lives across the Middle East.

Through women’s health education and safe sanitation spaces, our team works to ensure that access to safety, dignity, and information isn’t determined by where someone is born.

Because protection shouldn’t depend on geography.

2025 by the numbers.

Workshops held, people served, aid delivered. Behind each number is a story of collective effort and solidarity.

Thank you to everyone who supported our mission and helped turn compassion into action this past year.
